Memo to Industry Principals

The B.C. Horse Racing Industry Management Committee met today (Jan. 31) to continue finalizing recommendations that will be contained in its strategic report on the future of horse racing in the province.

The Committee recognizes the industry is very anxious for its report to be released, but wants to ensure that the fundamental issues yet to be resolved are given full consideration and thought. The Committee plans to meet again in early February to continue the approval process and will release its report to the industry as soon as practical.

We appreciate the patience of all stakeholders as this process unfolds. The Committee believes its recommendations will have the potential to set the industry on a sustainable footing for many years to come.
