The CTHS Annual Yearling and Mixed Sale held at Thunberbird Park in Langley was a great success.With nice weather hundreds of local buyers and several from other provinces and Washington State showed up.

The sale grossed $1,329,200 from a total of 92 horses that sold which was slightly down from 2012 when 80 horses sold for a total of $1,341,100.00. The average was also just a bit lower at $14,448 compared to $15,965.00 in 2012. The median although was $9000.00 which was $1500.00 ahead of 2012.

A new feature this year was a $60,000 draw. Six lucky buyers received a $10,000 credit that could be used only against purchases. Brian Butters from the BCRIMC and Mary-Margaret Bentley the marketing manager from BCLC were on hand to handle the draw.
