The 4-year-old BC bred bay gelding, His Time to Shine, showed real determination in getting to the wire a head in front of a fast closing Spring in Alberta. This 2nd level Allowance contested at Hastings Racecourse on Saturday, June 16th going 6 1/2 furlongs was completed in a quick 1:17.70. His Time to Shine struck the front end right out of the gate and jockey Aaron Gryder expertly got everything from his mount to hold the lead the entire race. He is trained by Richard Yates and owned by Section 31 Stables, Richard Yates and Barbara Yates. This game gelding was bred in BC by Donald Sutherland and Sylvia Sutherland. His Time to Shine is by the late Skimming out of the mare Her Time to Shine, by Songandaprayer. This is the only foal from Her Time to Shine to race, to date.
