In the 1st race at Hastings Racecourse, in smoky Vancouver, on Monday, August 20, a 6 1/2 furlong Allowance test for 3-year-olds which are non-winners of three, Proof It made the lead and never looked back, winning by 1 length, in 1:16.84 while being professionally guided by jockey Aaron Gryder. The BC-bred gelding is owned by North American Thoroughbred Horse Company, and trained by Glen Todd, who is having a fine season. Proof It was bred in BC by Glen Todd and was sired by Texas Wildcatter out of the mare, Alevei , who is by little known America's Storm, however, he is by the sire of sires, Storm Cat. This is the first foal from the mare, so look for future progeny to be runners as well.
