On August 20th In the 3rd race at Hastings Racecourse, a 6 1/2 furlong Allowance test for 3 or 4-year-old fillies which are non-winners of three or running for the optional claiming price of $25,000 went under smoky skies from hundreds of fires currently burning in BC. Under Par made all her strides winning ones, getting home 3 1/2 lengths clear of her nearest rival, in 1:17.16 while being piloted by jockey Aaron Gryder. This ultra consistent BC-bred filly , running for the $25,000 claiming tag, is owned by Canmor Farms and Maureen Goss, and trained by Mark Cloutier. BC-bred Under Par , sired by Stephanotis out of the German bred mare, Big Bertha, was bred in BC by Glen Todd. This is the 3rd winner from 3 starters for Big Bertha. Loire Miller has consigned a yearling filly by Texas Wildcatter out of Big Bertha to the 2018 CTHS Yearling and Mixed Sale being held on September 11th at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC .
